Cow in Minecraft: how to tame, milk, what they eat

Beef, milk and leather are very useful things, because your character in Minecraft will eat meat and milk, and books, frames and armor can be made from leather. What do you need for all this? That's right, Cow! Cows are friendly mobs that are easy to find as they graze in the surrounding area. But the required number of animals is not always nearby, and it is not very easy to kill them, because the cow will not stand and wait until it is killed; at the first blow, it will start to run away. In order not to waste your time searching for a cow and chasing it, you should think about breeding this animal.

1. Corral. In order to raise cows, you need to build a pen. You will need a workbench, sticks and boards. Using a workbench, you need to create a fence and place it in the place where you are going to raise cows. Next you need to install two gates, which, like a fence, are made using a workbench, sticks and boards. Two, because a cow won’t fit through one gate. After their manufacture, we install the gates in the place intended for them.

2. Cow bait. Cows' favorite treat in Minecraft is wheat. In order to get it you will need to destroy the grass. During this process, wheat seeds will fall out of the grass and need to be collected. Next, you need to plant wheat, for this you need to use a shovel to make a bed 1 block deep and 10-12 blocks long, and next to it there are grooves that need to be filled with water using a bucket. After all these steps are done, you need to plant the seeds, and in 1-2 days you will be able to harvest the wheat.

3. Finding and feeding the cow. Once you have collected the wheat, you can go in search of the cow. If a cow is found, then you need to get and show her the wheat, after which she will follow you. Using bait, lead the cow into the pen. Your speed should not be fast because there is a chance that the cow will fall behind. It is better to lead several cows at once, since you will need at least two to breed them.

4. Reproduction. Take the wheat in your hands and click on the cow, if after that hearts appear above it, then you did everything right. The same must be done with the other cow. And as soon as your cows meet, a calf will appear. Now you can breed cows. It is worth noting that breeding cows is much more profitable than breeding, for example, pigs, because cows provide not only meat, but milk and leather, and wheat is much easier to obtain than carrots.

Cow

— a cow in Minecraft is a friendly mob that plays an important role in the development of the player. When this mob dies, you can get meat. A cow can drop from 1 to 3 pieces of raw beef if the animal was killed, or if the mob is burned, you will receive from 1 to 3 units of fried beef. In addition to food, you can get cow skin, from which you can craft armor. If you have a bucket, you can organize the production of milk, which perfectly removes hunger and saves the player from poisoning. The mob has a brother - !

The cow was added in Alpha 1.0.8 and still exists today.

Cow behavior

Traveling through the square world, you have often met herds of cows. These animals always graze together. Only occasionally is it possible to find a lonely cow that has strayed from its fellows. In this regard, cows spawn 4-12 at a time.

Cows are not afraid of humans and therefore behave calmly when Steve approaches, but as soon as you express your aggression and hit the poor animal, it will immediately begin to rush from side to side in attempts to escape from its offender. It is worth noting that the cow quickly forgets about the blow and stops running in different directions, taking its usual position.

If you come close to this mob, the cow will pay attention to you, turn around and look at the stranger for several seconds. If the person in question does not have food in his hand, the cow will immediately lose interest in him and return to her cow business.

Cows are very clean animals and therefore do not avoid water. So, if the cow is in the water, it will not try to get out onto land.

This mob has little intelligence. He won't jump off cliffs, run into cacti, or swim in lava. Burenka will try to find a workaround that will not harm her.

Cow breeding

In order not to look for cows in the vast expanses of the map, you should start farming and raise them in your summer cottage.

Raising cows provides a number of advantages:

  • You don't have to look for this animal in the meadows.
  • An endless supply of milk.
  • You can get meat by killing a cow.
  • In the same way you can get skin for making clothes.

If there are cows in your pens, then you can be confident in the future! To start breeding cows, you first need to tame several individuals.

Restore the number of animals on the farm

After slaughtering livestock and poultry, you need to restore their numbers. Treat it like real animal husbandry. Follow the cycle: breeding - complementary feeding, obtaining healthy products - slaughter, obtaining meat - breeding. You will find that the farm brings you a constant income and, with the correct management of resources, you will notice its constant growth.

How to tame a cow in Minecraft?

Taming a cow in minecraft is quite easy. To start, you will need wheat, which can be grown in your garden. With its help, we will “make friends” with the cow and lead her along. In general, all cattle love wheat and as soon as they see it, they immediately try to eat it.

So, we need to tame the cow. How to do it? Stick to this list:

  1. We find wheat - you can grow it yourself or steal it from the gardens of villagers.
  2. We go in search of cows.
  3. We lure - as soon as you find a herd of cows, take the millet in your hands and approach the cows. As soon as the animals see your treat, they will immediately follow you.
  4. We bring you into the house - I advise you to prepare pens for the animals in advance. In the house they will get in the way, but in their own pen they will be much better!

Here is a small list of rules. We tamed the cow

and now we can get milk and other equally valuable resources from it. It is worth noting that a wolf cow will run into the forest if given the opportunity, so think about what your enclosure will look like.

Once you have tamed 2 cows, you can start breeding them. It is worth noting that there are no bulls in the game. This makes the game much easier, although it would not be bad if in adventure mode you had to select animals based on gender.

Corral

Pre-create a pen in which you will keep the animals. Use the fence and double doors for this, light the pen with torches so that hostile mobs do not appear nearby. For most animals, one fence height is sufficient, but for chickens it is better to create a pen 2 fences high. In addition, you can create an additional fence with a door in case there are a lot of animals so that they do not run away when you enter, but this is not necessary if you are saving resources.

How to breed cows in Minecraft?

To breed these animals, we again need wheat. I won’t bore you and will immediately write a list according to which Buryat cows should be propagated in the lane:

  1. We pick up the same wheat.
  2. We approach the cows (there should be at least 2 of them).
  3. Right-click on the first cow. Hearts should appear above her head. This means that the animal is ready to reproduce.
  4. We turn to the second cow and click on it in the same way. The cow's hearts appear and suddenly, out of nowhere, lo and behold, a baby appears!

This is where the breeding process ends
