  • All Spider-Man costumes in comics

Let's start with the clothes that gave life to this character through comics. These are all the costumes Spider-Man has worn.

    Classic suit

Spider-Man's costume has undergone many changes over its history, although (almost) all have the same general essence starting with the original : the colors red and blue (sometimes black), the web along the suit itself, the spider on the chest and the large eyes in the mask . This is the costume that the character wears from the very beginning, the most classic.

    Symbiotic Suit

Another of Spider-Man's well-known costumes is the one that paints almost his entire body black. A uniform known as a symbiotic suit that he received after being transported with many other super-villains (Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Wasp, La Mole, Mister Fantastic, Magneto, Ultron, Doctor Doom, etc.) to another universe in the Secret Wars saga. Here, while trying to rebuild his suit to continue the fight, Spider-Man uses the wrong machine and releases a symbiote (the future Venom) that invades his suit and gives him various new abilities.

    Bag man

One of the most curious forms of this supercar is known as the Bag Man . This "came" into the scene when Peter had to wash the only Spider-suit he had at the time, and of course he didn't want to reveal his identity. So she put the bag over her head and went with it to the laundry room.

    Cosmic Spider-Man

During the Acts of Vengeance saga, Spider-Man gained the Enigma Cosmic Power, giving him unrivaled strength with which he could fire cosmic rays, fly, possess superhuman strength, or alter the molecular structure of objects. These powers also changed Spider-Man's costume, displaying a constellation on his chest and retaining the only trace of his old form - the red color of the mouth area.

    Cyber Spider-Man

Before the fight with the Sinister Six, Spider-Man was wounded in one arm. To help him and allow him to fight, Deathlok gave him a cybernetic suit with various enhanced abilities.

    Negative Spider-Man

If you're a comic book fan, you remember when Spider-Man had to enter the Negative Zone . At that very moment, his costume changed: red became black, and blue became white. This Marvel character's costume is quite different from what we've seen so far.

    Slingers

Norman Osborn framed Spider-Man for various crimes he did not commit, prompting the Daily Bugle to place a bounty on his head. To try to prove his innocence, he designed 4 different suits . After some time, when Spider-Man tried to "bring out" them, Dan Lyons (former Black Marvel) took them and gave them to 4 young misfits, who thus received arachnid powers.

    Iron Spider

Another of Spider-Man's most famous suits is the Iron Spider . A suit designed by Iron Man, which had different versions and which gave him abilities such as: extremely high resistance to temperatures, gunshots, had meshes with which he could slide, improved his vision, enhanced hearing, etc. red and yellow , with a golden spider on the chest and bracelets on four limbs. Additionally, he had mechanical "legs" protruding from his back.

    Neon suit

Spider-Man was also adept at remaining undetected through stealth. When he was forced to infiltrate Fisk Tower to retrieve the Reverbium stolen by the Green Goblin, he created a neon suit that could make him invisible and withstand the villain's sonic attack.

    Spider Armor Mark II

To counter Carnage, after losing his spider-sense, Spider-Man developed a new version of his armor that allowed him to, among other things, withstand being hit by bullets. As you can see in the image, the armor is quite dark, with details glowing yellow.

    Future Spider-Man Foundation

If you didn't know, in the adventures of this comic book superhero, Spider-Man formed a group from the old Fantastic 4 called the Future Foundation . To achieve this, a new suit was designed, primarily white and dark blue, as well as shiny silver eyes made from unstable particles. This form allowed him to quickly change his appearance.

    Miles Morales

In one version of the Spider-Verse, after Peter's death, Miles Morales takes on the role of successor with a suit given to him by the S.H.I.E.L.D. foundation. This costume is primarily black with red accents on the sleeves and a spider on the chest.

    9th place. Spider-Man: Mysterio's Menace

    • Release date: September 19, 2001
    • Platforms: Game Boy Advance

Mysterio's Menace is not just a good Spider-Man game, but one of the best on the portable platform. The only problem is that we're talking about a 20-year-old Nintendo console.

The easiest way to think of Mysterio's Menace is as a very cool game for a Java phone. There are excellent two-dimensional graphics and detailed animation; a simple but varied combat system and a whole range of “spider” tricks - from climbing walls to shooting webs. They will help in the battles with the supervillains and henchmen that Mysterio has collected. As the name suggests, he is the main instigator here.

It was a real blockbuster of our childhood, and now it’s just a good retro game that every fan will definitely enjoy. Naturally, if he makes a big discount on age.

All Spider-Man costumes in the films

It's time to move on to the costumes that Spider-Man wore in his movies in the theater.

    Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3

In fact, we see the first Spider-Man costume in these films when Peter enters the fight to test his strength and earn some money. However, it can be said that the clothes he wears in his first three films are mainly the clothes of the original Spider-Man costume that we already talked about. Although it is true that it has minimal variations, such as that the web is more textured or that sometimes it is somewhat more silvery, as if it were metallic.

Although, as you probably remember, in Spider-Man 3 the main character changes his clothes to clothes with a symbiotic suit possessed by Venom's power. Once he reaches the end, he will get rid of it to return to its most classic version again.

    The Incredible Spider-Man

The version of the suit seen in The Amazing Spider-Man is the version based on the Spider-Man: Ultimate Power comic. A costume that is shown in much more detail than in the other films, and which has slight modifications compared to the "original" trilogy, retouching the web, changing the spider on the chest, darker red color and eyes. they lose their white color and acquire a mirror-like shine.

    Spider-Man: Homecoming

The suits worn by Tom Holland were perhaps a little more "futuristic" than the rest of the ones we've seen in previous films. His most basic version, which we saw in Homecoming , now has a more tactical and modern look, with various gadgets such as a web launcher coming out of his wrists.

    Spider-Man: Far From Home

In Far From Home Spider-Man returns to release a new uniform that takes the blue tones almost black, the reds are a much brighter shade, and the spider on his chest includes white detailing to make him stand out even more.

10th place. Spider-Man: The Movie Game

    • Release date: 2002
    • Platforms: PC, PS2, Xbox, GameCube, Game Boy Advance

We open our top with the official game based on the first Sam Raimi film. Although the structure of the game’s plot tries to repeat the original source almost word for word, it at the same time introduces a lot of asides. For example, in addition to the Green Goblin, Peter meets Kraven the Hunter here.

The advantages include a clear combat system and the ability to actually move between the roofs of houses on the web. However, there is no real open world here - you cannot go down to the ground, as in later games.

Also, the disadvantages include the obsession with the beat'em'up component and non-obvious training. The spider has a surprisingly large number of techniques, but the game is in no hurry to talk about it. Of course, the 2002 project certainly couldn’t have had normal stealth. Episodes in which the player is forced to go through a secret passage are unlikely to please both fans and ordinary players.

Well, let's look again at that legendary intro, where all the grace of Spider-Man is shown!

    7th place. The Amazing Spider-Man

    • Release date: June 26, 2012
    • Platforms: PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Nintendo DS, 3DS, Wii, PS Vita

Among Spider-Man fans, there is an opinion that the film version of the hero performed by Andrew Garfield was undeservedly forgotten. Although she could boast a number of advantages over both Maguire and Holland. If you consider Garfield’s story unfinished, then you can continue the adventures in the game based on the first film.

In the first part, they didn’t bother with the gag; the events take place after the story of the film. The focus will be on Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, who are trying to stop Dr. Connors' new experiments. The scientist himself, who turned himself into a Lizard monster, also occupies an important place in the plot.

Since the basis is not the usual version of the universe, but its Amazing version, you should expect dashing plot twists. However, sometimes the authors overact, which throws the story off balance. The combination of this minus, together with the mediocre gameplay of the PS3 era, does not allow us to place the game higher than 7th place.

    3rd place. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales

    • Release date: November 10, 2022
    • Platforms: PS4, PS5

A mid-sized spin-off of Sony's big Spidey game, it's the latest superhero release to date. The story of Miles Morales is much more intimate than that of Peter Parker, but at the same time it allows you to look at the superhero universe from a different angle.

We put Miles Morales in third place only because compared to the next two, it is not that revolutionary. The action game uses the same set of mechanics as the original Marvel's Spider-Man: a lot of humor, chases, and a dynamic combat system. New features in the gameplay include electric attacks and the ability to become invisible. This is not enough to fight for top 1. However, we should not forget that Miles Morales was and will remain a great Spider-Man game, there are simply better ones.

8th place. Spider-Man: Web of Shadows

    • Release date: October 21, 2008
    • Platforms: PC, PSP, Nintendo DS, Wii, Xbox 360, PS2, PS3

Web of Shadows is one of the darkest Spider-Man games, even if it has become a little funny over the years. Events unfold during an attack by an army of symbiotes on New York. And any presence of this infection and Venom personally, as you know, builds up the suspense even more. Peter Parker has lost Mary Jane and is trying to find her, while a whole bunch of infected people and heroes will interfere with him.

Yes, the symbiote will visit a lot of people, because the plot also includes other heroes from the Marvel universe. Wolverine, Black Cat, Rhino, Kingpin, Electro, Vulture and even Moon Knight actively participate in the story and sometimes take a less obvious side.

The game has a miniature moral system, which determines the ending and the overall mood of the plot. By choosing between good and evil, Peter Parker determined the ending of the story, as well as his abilities. Another cool mechanic is switching between two costumes with one click. This changed the combat system, each blow and skill received different properties. This is what we want in Insomniac's Spider-Man sequel!
