Indications for use

Imodium anti-diarrhea tablets mainly help with loose stools accompanied by painful sensations (diarrhea) with frequent urges more than twice a day. Imodium is not used for nausea. The following indications are also available:

• exacerbation or chronic diarrhea resulting from an allergic reaction, nervousness, from taking medications, inflammatory bowel disease, changes in food intake or its composition, metabolic disorders and malabsorption of food;
• as an additional drug in the treatment of diarrhea resulting from an infectious lesion of the digestive system;
• to normalize stool in patients with an artificial opening in the abdominal cavity for excreting feces (ileostomy).

Instructions for use

How to take Imodium Express correctly without crushing the fragile tablet:

• pull the foil over the edge, freeing the cell with the tablet;
• press the tablet from below without much effort and carefully remove it;
• put the required dose on the tongue and wait for it to dissolve;
• swallow the medicine with saliva (without drinking water).

Imodium lozenges are contraindicated in children under 6 years of age, as at this age it is difficult for them to swallow the drug. The dosage is as follows:

Imodium express for children over 6 years old:

1. For acute diarrhea. The first dose is 1 tablet of 2 mg, the rest - 2 mg after each loose stool.
2. For chronic diarrhea. The first dose is 1 tablet of 2 mg, the rest are adjusted depending on the frequency of normal stool. As a rule, this is from 2 to 12 mg per day, depending on the individual characteristics of the body.
3. The maximum dose for 24 hours is calculated by the formula: 3 tablets x 20 kg of weight, and it is prohibited to take more than 12 mg within 24 hours.
4. The drug is discontinued if the stool returns to normal or is completely absent within 12 hours.

For adults:

1. For acute diarrhea. The first dose is 2 tablets of 2 mg, the rest - 1 tablet of 2 mg after each loose stool.
2. For chronic diarrhea. The first dose is 2 tablets of 2 mg each, the rest are adjusted depending on the frequency of normal stool. As a rule, this is from 2 to 12 mg per day, depending on the individual characteristics of the body.
3. The maximum dose for 24 hours should not exceed 12 mg.
4. The drug is discontinued if the stool returns to normal or is completely absent within 12 hours.

Terms of use

Instructions for use Fast-double:

1. Clean the area being treated and place the products in sealed containers.
2. I carry out disinsection with open windows and vents in the absence of people or pets. The aquarium is being covered.
3. Treatment of small areas is carried out wearing a cotton-gauze bandage and rubber gloves. If the area is more than 50 sq. m, you need to protect yourself with a respirator, headgear, and robe.
4. Make holes at the points indicated on the packaging.
5. Spray the product in areas where insects are localized and along their movement routes: wall cracks and holes, near plumbing fixtures, behind furniture, in ventilation vents. The consumption of cockroach dust is approximately 3 g per 1 sq. m. m, that is, a package weighing 100 g is enough to process 30-50 sq. m. During the procedure you cannot smoke or eat.
6. After 3-4 hours, wash the surfaces with which there is constant contact with a soda-soap solution. In other places the dust is left for 6 weeks.

Important!

It is strictly forbidden to treat the internal surfaces of cabinets, food storage areas, and dishes with Fast-Double products.

During pregnancy

There have been no relevant clinical trials on the effect of the components of the drug Imodium Express at any stage of fetal development, therefore its use in the first trimester is strictly not recommended.

In the second and third trimesters, the drug is allowed to be used only in case of urgent need, if the benefit to the mother will far outweigh the risk of negative effects on the fetus. Consultation with a physician is recommended.

If you take the drug during breastfeeding, there is a possibility that a small amount of the main active ingredient loperamide will pass into breast milk. In this regard, it is not recommended to take the medicine during breastfeeding, and in case of urgent need, at the time of administration, it is recommended to stop feeding.

Departmental appeal

A non-normative act drawn up by the commission can be appealed within a month to the collegial body of the FAS Russia. True, only decisions that violate the uniform application of competition rules can be appealed to the appellate court.

Complaints against decisions made under the laws on advertising, competition, and the contract system are not considered by a higher collegial body.

The pre-trial procedure cannot be used to appeal decisions and orders of the FAS Russia and its collegial bodies. To make such an appeal, you must file an application with the court.

Special instructions and precautions

The drug Imodium Express does not eliminate the cause of diarrhea, but only removes its symptoms, therefore, to eliminate the causes, you should consult a doctor for appropriate treatment.

In case of constipation, bloating or intestinal obstruction that occurs after taking the drug, the course of treatment must be interrupted.

Dehydration is possible; if it occurs, it is necessary to carry out appropriate procedures to eliminate it. Children are especially likely to become dehydrated. Contraindicated for people with impaired amino acid metabolism, as it contains a source of phenylalanine.

People with impaired liver function should take the drug with extreme caution. Due to the fact that side effects may include dizziness, loss of coordination and drowsiness, it is not recommended to drive or engage in activities that require special concentration and attention while taking the drug.

It is not recommended to take Imodium Express with alcohol, as alcohol worsens dehydration and impairs the digestive functions of the intestines, which not only reduces the effectiveness of the drug, but also causes additional harm to the body.

Contraindications

The drug has the following contraindications:

• intolerance or allergic reaction of the body to one or more components included in the medicinal product;
• age less than 6 years;
• the first 3 months of pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding;
• violation of amino acid metabolism;
• bloody stools accompanied by fever;
• inflammatory disease of the colon mucosa;
• bacterial inflammation of the intestines;
• constipation, bloating and intestinal obstruction.

Particular caution should be exercised by people with impaired liver function.

3.1.1. preliminary consideration of the complaint:

— checking the complaint for compliance with established requirements;

— determination of the jurisdiction of the complaint;

— posting on the official website information about the receipt of a complaint and the text of the complaint;

— notification of the order placement participant who filed the complaint (hereinafter referred to as the applicant), the customer, the operator of the electronic site, whose actions (inactions) are being appealed, about the receipt of the complaint, about the place, date and time of consideration of the complaint;

— transfer of the complaint to the commission for consideration;

Overdose

If the dose of the drug is exceeded, the following symptoms of overdose may appear:

• urinary retention;
• intestinal obstruction;
• constipation;
• breathing problems;
• nausea;
• distraction;
• increased muscle tone;
• drowsiness;
• constriction of the pupils.

A dose of 40-240 mg over 24 hours can lead to tachycardia up to complete cardiac arrest. If one or more symptoms of overdose occur, the heart rhythm should be examined for abnormalities through ECG monitoring.

Making a statement

In accordance with Art. 199 APC, the claim must contain:

• information about the plaintiff (copy of the applicant’s state registration certificate, documents of the representative);
• name of the FAS department and details of the disputed document;
• list of violations with links to regulations;
• demand to cancel the act, recognize the actions of officials as illegal, etc.;
• petition for suspension of the contested act.

The application must be accompanied by materials substantiating the plaintiff’s position, documents confirming the sending of a copy of the application to the defendant and payment of the state fee.

Analogs

Smecta is considered one of the analogues of the drug Imodium, but one or another drug should be taken in different situations. Imodium stops an attack of diarrhea, but does not affect the cause of its occurrence, so it is better to take it not for poisoning, but for nervous reasons. Smecta helps more directly with poisoning from poor-quality food.

Lopedium has the same active substance as Imodium, but the therapeutic effect of the latter is higher, while the speed of action and bioavailability are identical.

Enterofuril, Stopdiar and Levomycetin, unlike Imodium, eliminate the cause of bacterial diarrhea, preventing the development of bacterial complications.

Another form of insecticide from the Fas brand is also quite toxic. Gel Fas against cockroaches is produced in a special tube, similar to a syringe, with a volume of 20 and 75 ml with a convenient spout.

Disadvantages - the poison affects larvae and adults; the poison has no effect on insect eggs. But the poison is long-lasting, which allows you to poison already hatched cockroaches.
