Description and purpose

The Cucarach line of products for cockroaches and parasites is produced by the Russian company. Ready-to-use insecticidal agents are available for sale, as well as a concentrate, which must be diluted with cold water before disinfestation.

Cucaracha preparations help get rid of bedbugs, fleas, cockroaches and other insects. They can be used for disinfestation of residential, industrial and warehouse premises. When choosing a suitable Kukuracha remedy for fleas, bed bugs and cockroaches, you need to take into account the principle of their action and the degree of infestation of the home.

Bait

Composition and release forms

You can find Cucaracha on sale in the form of gel, granules, spray and concentrate. All forms are designed to kill household insects, but they differ in composition and method of application, as well as the degree of toxic effect on parasites and pests.

  • granules are recommended for use against cockroaches. The product is sold in tubes weighing 50 and 100 g. The drug does not require preliminary preparation before use. Its active component is chlorpyrifos at a concentration of 0.5%. In addition, the granules contain an attractant that attracts the attention of insects.

Granules are recommended to be used as an additional means for exterminating cockroaches, and also as a prophylactic agent. For disinfestation, the drug must be poured onto paper and bait should be placed in places where cockroaches are likely to be localized. For 10 sq. there should be 5 of them. The death of cockroaches after contact with them occurs within three days. When insects multiply massively, granules are not able to cope with the problem.

  • Cucaracha gel helps get rid of cockroaches, silverfish, and woodlice. This insecticidal agent is a thick transparent substance with a specific odor. Available in metal tubes of 30 ml. The active component of the product is imidacloprid, the mass fraction of which is 0.5%. The maximum result of disinfestation when using the gel is achieved after 2 weeks.
  • Cucaracha spray is designed to kill bed bugs, cockroaches, and fleas. This form of insecticide release has a rapid effect. The product should be sprayed in places where parasites and pests are likely to live. The product is ready for use. The active components in the spray are tetramethrin and alphacypermethrin.

This product is sold in spray bottles. The first results after using the spray become noticeable after 2-4 hours, but the drug does not have a long-term protective effect. The spray is recommended for use in case of mass reproduction of insects, but combined with other forms of insecticide to prevent re-infestation.

  • Cucaracha concentrate is a liquid suspension that must be diluted with cold water before use. This form of the drug is sold in dark 50 ml bottles, liter bottles and five liter canisters. The concentrate contains two active components: cypermethrin (20%) and malathion (10%). The protective effect of the drug lasts up to 4 weeks.

Consumer Reviews

I didn't expect to have a flea problem. I used different means, nothing helped. Friends advised me to try Cucaracha - and they were not mistaken. I carried out three treatments, and we don’t think about fleas anymore.

Alexey, Syzran

I often go on business trips and live in rented apartments. An unexpected surprise arose - a lot of parasites. A colleague recommended Cucaracha. I coped with the treatment on my own and did not need to contact sanitary services.

Vladimir, Novosibirsk

After the neighbor's cat visited, fleas appeared in our apartment. They caused a lot of inconvenience. A veterinarian I know advised me to buy Cucaracha. I spent two days cleaning the rooms. The drug helped get rid of this evil spirit.

Operating principle

All forms of release of the insecticidal product Cucarach against bedbugs, cockroaches and fleas have a contact effect. The active components, getting on the paws and body of the insect, quickly penetrate inside and block the transmission of nerve impulses from the brain to the limbs. This initially causes paralysis and then death of the pests.

Gel

The peculiarity of the gel, granules and concentrate is that the poison has a delayed effect. And the infected insect still remains active for some time. This facilitates the transmission of poison to other individuals, and causes mass death of parasites.

Preparing the premises

  • Remove all dust and cobwebs, then wet clean. The fact is that bedbugs choose hard-to-reach places for their homes, and lay eggs there. Therefore, such a thorough cleaning will help remove a certain number of pests and open access to the surface so that the substance can adhere well to it.
  • Remove and wash bed linen, bedspreads, curtains, curtains and other textiles, then be sure to iron them. Go through all the things in the closet, look for the presence of larvae, if any are found, the items must be washed and ironed.
  • Empty the room as much as possible, put all things, including from closets, in bags and close them, it is advisable to take them out of the apartment.
  • Move cabinets, beds, cabinets away from the walls so that there is access to them and to the baseboards.
  • Remove mattresses and pillows, carefully examine the places of folds and locks.
  • Be sure to hide food, dishes, and kitchen utensils.

Treatment

When the procedure is carried out, only the person carrying out the disinfestation should be in the apartment. It is also unacceptable that there were animals in the room.

You need to pay attention to the following places:

  • Skirting boards around the entire perimeter;
  • Back walls of cabinets and other furniture;
  • Backs of paintings, wall clocks and other decorative items;
  • Radiators and window sills;
  • Bottoms of the bed.

Remember that they got into your apartment somehow, and there can be a lot of them, doors, windows, cracks in the walls, ventilation holes, so they should also be treated.

After processing

As soon as the procedure is completed, you need to change clothes and leave the room; there should be no draft in it, so close all windows and doors. Ideally, the apartment is left for a day, but if this is not possible, you can return after 4 hours.

When you arrive at your apartment, be sure to open the windows and create drafts to get rid of toxic fumes. Wear gloves and a respirator, use a vacuum cleaner to collect pests, they should be burned.

Next, you need to wash the surfaces with which you will come into contact. Tables, chairs, door handles, etc. To do this, you will need to prepare a soap solution, this is an alkali that very effectively neutralizes toxic chemicals. For this solution we use water and laundry soap.

Most often, re-treatment is required, which is carried out a week later.

What you need to know

There is always a chance that bedbugs will reappear in your home after some time.

This can happen for several reasons:

  • An incorrectly prepared solution that did not have the proper concentration.
  • Not enough area processed;
  • The bedbugs came from neighbors;
  • Young individuals appeared that hatched from eggs.

For these reasons, repeated procedures are performed. Remember that preventative action will be required. Another point worth considering is when the bedbugs have disappeared, but after some time you notice one or more individuals, take action immediately, do not hope that they will just go away. Slowing down will lead to their proliferation, then it will be much more difficult to cope with them.

Instructions for use

These insecticides are characterized by a high level of toxicity towards parasitic pests. And in order to quickly get rid of cockroaches, bedbugs and fleas in an apartment using Cucaracha preparations, you need to strictly follow the instructions for their use.

How to prepare a working solution?

Cucaracha in the form of a concentrate must be diluted with cold water before use. For bedbugs, add 3.5 ml of the drug per 1 liter of liquid, and for fleas and cockroaches - 5 ml for the same volume.

Cucaracha concentrate must be diluted with water immediately before disinfestation, since the solution remains active for 6 hours. With longer storage, it loses its insecticidal properties. The solution must be prepared in a plastic container. After mixing until the composition is homogeneous, pour it into a spray bottle.

What areas require treatment?

Cucarach insecticides need to be sprayed, applied and laid out in places where parasites and pests may inhabit and move. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the peculiarities of the lifestyle of the insect being destroyed.

During processing, special attention should be paid to:

  • folds in the mattress;
  • seams of upholstery of upholstered furniture;
  • the backs of a sofa or bed;
  • joints of interior parts;
  • skirting boards;
  • window frames;
  • door frames;
  • cracks in the floor under the berths;
  • reverse side of carpets, paintings;
  • water pipe joints;
  • a place near the trash can, under the washbasin;
  • ventilation vents.

To kill fleas, treat your pet's bedding, baseboards, and the floor near it with a spray or diluted concentrate. It is prohibited to use this insecticide to poison parasites directly on a pet.

Disinfestation stages

According to the instructions for use, before using Cucaracha against cockroaches, bedbugs and fleas, you must first prepare the room. To do this, you need to vacuum the apartment and carry out wet cleaning. It is also recommended to cover aquariums, remove animals, take out flowers, pack clothes and soft toys in plastic bags, hide dishes in cabinets, and food in airtight containers.

Corpses

Also, to increase the efficiency of disinfestation, you need to put multi-layer gauze on the ventilation hatches. This will prevent the possible migration of insects to neighbors, and subsequently from them.

The solution prepared from the concentrate and Cucaracha spray should be sprayed from a distance of 20 cm from the surface. Consumption rate – 50 ml per 1 sq. m, and with an increased number of insects it needs to be doubled. The treatment should be carried out with the windows open due to the specific smell, and after disinfestation is completed, the room should be closed for 4 hours.

Then the apartment must be ventilated with a draft for 2 hours. And only after this should you wipe the working surfaces with soap and soda solution to neutralize the effect of the insecticide.

The use of Cucaracha against cockroaches in the form of gel and granules does not require preliminary preparation of the room. When using these forms of insecticide, you also do not need to leave the apartment during the treatment.

Security measures

Despite its effectiveness, Cucaracha simply cannot be non-toxic. When working with it, precautions will definitely be required. The product is of the second safety class, which means it can harm human skin or animal health.

The poisons contained in Cucarache neutralize their toxic effect in the gastrointestinal tract of warm-blooded animals. However, in large doses they can lead to allergies and intoxication. If you feel dizzy, slightly nauseous, lack of coordination and even convulsions, it is quite possible that you have been poisoned by the drug. And malathion, in general, according to test results, can cause cancer. But this is if it accumulates in the body for a long time.

If after treatment you have at least a little product left, do not pour it into sewer pipes (sinks, bathtubs, toilets). The poison's toxins are harmful to swimmers and can poison bodies of water.

Review

Cucarach was recommended to me by my neighbors. We poisoned bedbugs last year, but this year they apparently got to me. The remedy turned out to be truly effective. I didn’t even feel much of a stench, but I carried my “aliens” out of the apartment with a dustpan. For the price, I can’t say that it’s expensive, plus it turned out to be economical in consumption. I needed very little for my one-room apartment. I diluted the drug not with room temperature water, but with slightly heated water. So, in my opinion, the substances entered the process even better.

Sergey K., Mozhga

Prudently stock up on protective equipment at the time of processing. It may not be necessary to dress in overalls and gas masks like a medical team, but it’s better to just wear gloves, a mask and goggles.

In such a delicate matter as removing parasites, it is more expensive to neglect safety rules. Make sure that no one from your household is at home during the process. Close even fish aquariums tightly and turn off the compressor. Food should also be tightly sealed and stored away.

Precautionary measures

Cucaracha belongs to the category of hazard class 3 insecticides. When using these products, precautions must be taken. Disinsection must be carried out wearing gloves, goggles, a respirator and clothing that covers exposed areas of the body as much as possible. If the solution gets on the skin or mucous membranes, it should be washed off immediately with plenty of water.

If nausea, dizziness, or general weakness occur during or after treatment, you should drink activated charcoal at the rate of 1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight. If you feel worse, consult a doctor.
