How to prepare a room for treatment

Method 1 - special aerosols

How can you poison pests quickly and effectively? Special aerosols cope well with this task; these products are best used if you know where exactly the pest nest is located in the house. They need to be sprayed directly on adult insects, as well as on larvae. Colloidal microcalcite

This is not poison, but a powder that absorbs moisture. It is contained in the pharmaceutical drug "Polysorb" and the like, so the development of allergies is unlikely. The Hector product is based on this substance. Almost pure colloidal microcalcite contains Aerosil 200, a thickener for epoxy compounds. You can find it where they sell resins and fiberglass. The same substance in a different form is found in Diatomite (food grade) and Diatomaceous earth - these are food additives. They differ from those listed above in that they do not dry out the air and only bring benefits to people. Bed bugs die from them in the same way as from their analogues.

The release form or name of the drug is not so important

How does this substance work? Bed bugs catch particles of powder on their legs and shell. They do not die instantly, but walk around “dusted.” But after a couple of days you begin to find their shells. The powder simply dries them out and the insects die.

The only problem is that the powder will “dry out” you too if you inhale it. So you need to spray colloidal microcalcite wearing a respirator, long sleeves and gloves.

Powdered colloidal microcalcite should be sprayed in bedbug-infested areas. It is volatile and this will not be a problem. If you bought not the drug, but the powder in its pure form, make a “dust bottle”. Take a plastic bottle and add powder to 1/2 volume. Put on the lid with small diameter holes made in it (burn with a needle heated on the fire). Then simply squeeze the bottle, spraying the powder. Aim at the places where there may be nests. The volatile suspension will reach the rest on its own. It is better to leave the powder indoors for at least a month. And it’s better not to clean under baseboards and in crevices at all.

Delcid

Delcid also helps get rid of domestic bed mites. This is a veterinary drug (insectoacaricidal drug) that is used to treat animals and places where they are kept. It is also effective against bedbugs. Sold in ampoules and even in canisters in veterinary pharmacies or stores. The good thing is that it is not harmful to birds and animals (and humans). But toxic to fish and bees .

In veterinary pharmacies it is usually sold in ampoules. They contain a concentrate that is diluted with water. The amount of water is indicated on the package (concentration may vary). Any insectoacaricidal drug

There is also a fairly old remedy called Cucaracha on sale. The active ingredients in it are cypermethrin and malathion, also known as karbofos. In fact, it is similar to the same Agran, especially since karbofos has also long been known to have stable populations of bed bugs.

By the way, Fufanon is produced using only karbofos - consider it the same karbofos, only in a different package. If bedbugs do not have resistance to it, it works well (as does Karbofos, in fact). If they are stable, then processing them does not give any result.

Professional methods and means of baiting bedbugs

Relevant services and units of sanitary and epidemiological stations use cold and hot fog to combat blood-sucking parasites. Disinfestation frees the premises from insects quickly and for a long time. To form a fog cloud, steam generators, devices with a pump, are used that create a powerful air flow.

The effectiveness of “fog” techniques is higher than baiting parasites with aerosol preparations. The result is achieved in less time, with less effort. Method 5 – denatured alcohol

Method 6 – vinegar

Types of bedbugs

Scientists have data on the presence of more than 5 thousand species of bedbugs. The most common is the bed bug, which prefers to settle in a person’s home and feeds on human blood. Despite this, other types of bedbugs deserve attention. For example:

Water bug . This insect prefers to settle in bodies of water and feed on creatures living in the water. It grows up to 1.5 cm in length. The water bug is not dangerous to humans. But its bites can cause allergic reactions and pain.
Wood bug . It prefers to live on various kinds of bushes and, for humans, does not pose any danger, even if it gets into an apartment or house.

6 grams of salicylic acid;
80 ml turpentine;
40 grams of phenol.
