Believe it or not, in 2015 I came to the Irecommend website precisely because of cockroaches. And my first review here was also dedicated to them. Because in the last 10 years cockroaches have been a problem. I live in an old apartment building. And getting these bastards out completely is just my crystal dream for now. But I don’t lose hope. And this dream of mine has almost come true thanks to the insecticide “Combat SuperByte” .
In the spring, the cockroaches multiplied so much that they were no longer alive at all. They calmly walked on the table in the kitchen during the day. I decided to try using traps this year. There are many traps, but containing different active ingredients. I read in reviews in some online store that a person got rid of cockroaches in this way. I started with cheaper traps, Raptor. Of course, there was a result after them. But it didn’t quite suit me. I wrote in detail about Raptor traps here. This “something” has a smell And he is unpleasant for me. Fortunately, this smell is clearly felt only immediately after opening the transparent package with Kombat SuperByte traps. Then, after setting the traps, you can hardly hear him.
A month after the first installation of “Combat SuperByte” I decided to refurbish the kitchen to celebrate, cleaning out the cabinets and all that jazz. This is where discoveries awaited me. I found a fairly decent amount of dead cockroaches of all possible sizes (and even colors), but they were all hidden somewhere in the depths of closets and other secluded places where they were simply not visible. I was very pleased that there were also a lot of small dry cockroaches. This means that Combat SuperBait is really great at dealing not only with adult cockroaches, but also with numerous cockroach offspring.
The photo shows glue traps before and after Combat SuperBait. The color of the bait shows that the traps are old. Fresh bait in white glue. The trap on the left, where there are more cockroaches, is 2.5 - 3 months old. And the trap on the right has been in the kitchen for the last month. As you can see, only 2 large cockroaches stuck to it in a month. There is not a single small cockroach. Three small insects on the left edge of the trap are food moths, which, as it turned out, have now replaced cockroaches and also fell into the glue trap. Back in May, my glue traps were completely filled within a week.
Where did the two big cockroaches come from if there are no small ones now? We came through the ventilation shafts in the bathroom. I have an exhaust fan there that runs constantly. Therefore, it will not be possible to completely close the exit to the mine. Cockroaches also somehow get through the fan mesh. Occasionally now I see cockroaches not in the kitchen, where there is food, but in the bathroom. I was always perplexed before. What do they need in laundry detergent? Now I understand. Large cockroaches come from the ventilation to visit, but with an eye on permanent residence. They are looking for exits to the kitchen, to food. And several times I saw them in the kitchen too.
But now the encounter with cockroaches has become more of an accident for me than a pattern. Many times I specifically went into the kitchen at night and turned on the light. Specially. I checked. And I still don’t believe my eyes when I don’t see a single one. And those isolated “stray guests” who come from the ventilation and occasionally meet, also somehow quickly disappear, without even having time to become an eyesore. The results in three months are fantastic! The best in 10 years of the “cockroach war” for sure.
The other day I bought, as I wrote above, 3 more packs of Combat SuperBait traps. And a couple of packs of Raptor with fipronil and emamectin. Just in case. I want to maintain the achieved result. I really want to. And how nice it is to live without cockroaches! I can't even describe it in words. This is probably just happiness after so many years of torment. Well, or his, happiness is an important component, at least. Combat SuperBait traps get 10 out of 5 from me!
I just don’t know how long this happiness will last. Cockroaches adapt very quickly to any poison. While hydramethylnon is working, you need to take advantage of the moment!
