Innovative and safe spray Flee - effective elimination of fleas and house dust mites indoors

Requirements for flea spray

The spray should include a complex of insecticides effective against fleas and other synanthropic insects, and you should also pay attention to other characteristics when choosing a product.

Flea spray for people must be safe, since some products are used only for professional treatment because they require special protective equipment and a long “infusion” period. Sprays use substances that do not have these disadvantages. They are safe, when used correctly, they do not cause allergic reactions and exclude poisoning. Some types of sprays can even be used in children's rooms.

Interesting!

Sprays have different effects:

  • instant “knockout”;
  • prolonged, which contributes to the destruction of the entire population;
  • barrier, which does not allow the parasite to enter the apartment from the outside - from basements, from attics, from neighboring apartments.

When choosing an effective flea treatment, you should pay attention to these characteristics.

The cost-effectiveness of the product is also important when choosing a spray to treat your home. If in order to treat the entire apartment it is necessary to buy many bottles or cylinders of the drug, then it will not be profitable for the owner to carry out the treatment himself. Often, expensive drugs are used without following the recommended dosage, which only leads to “disease” of insects without destroying them. As a result, they have offspring that are resistant to this group of insecticides and are able to pass this feature on by inheritance.

When analyzing the existing variety of flea products in the apartment, the best sprays that met the listed requirements were selected.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Flea acts as a “sticky trap” for all stages of the flea and dust mite life cycle. Envelops adult fleas, eggs, larvae and pupae with a thin film, preventing them from moving and developing. Flea spray even controls parasites that are resistant to traditional pesticides. Dust mites become immobile within 1-2 minutes, larvae within 10 minutes.

Controls flea infestation in the home environment (house, cottage, car, etc.). There is no need to treat the entire living space. Treatments must be carried out in areas that are in direct contact with domestic animals and may be contaminated. These include: bedding, pet mattresses, carpets, sofas, furniture and car seats. Hard, non-porous surfaces of tile or laminate floors do not require treatment.

Flea actively controls adult fleas, eggs, larvae and pupae for 9 weeks after treatment. Regular aerosol treatments in combination with special preparations for animals will ensure a much longer flea-free period.

MODE OF APPLICATION

Shake the bottle well before use. Hold straight, away from your body - at arm's length and approximately 40 cm from the surface you want to treat.

The product should be sprayed with even hand movements for 7-14 seconds per square meter of surface. When treating large areas, periodically shaking the bottle maintains even distribution of the product.

Wash your hands after use.

You may observe a slight darkening of the treated surfaces. The darkening will disappear after the product has completely dried. Hard, non-porous surfaces generally do not require treatment. Be careful when applying Flea spray to these surfaces, they may be wet and slippery for 30 minutes before drying. Flea can be used on most surfaces, however, before spraying on delicate materials such as leather, it is recommended to test the product on a small, inconspicuous area to determine its compatibility with the material.

The cylinder is designed for 25-35 m2.

Characteristics of the insecticides used

Flea spray contains one or more types of insecticides. The most effective are those that include 2-3 active ingredients. The use of complex products eliminates the emergence of resistant species of blood-sucking insects. According to research, synanthropic insects are most prone to resistance - fleas, cockroaches, ants, bedbugs.

Fleas

To be sure to rid your home of fleas, you must first destroy the parasites on their carriers and the most attractive objects for food, which is your pet. Only then can you begin to clean the premises from pests. When choosing a spray, you need to know the characteristics of insecticides in order to choose the most effective product.

  1. Pyrethrin or pyrethrum is a natural substance that is obtained from dry plant materials - Dalmatian or Caucasian chamomile. It is used as an insecticide against blood-sucking insects, which is not addictive to them. The disadvantage of the substance is its instability when exposed to light.
  2. A synthetic derivative of pyrethrin is permethrin. There are its isomers Deltamethrin, Cypermethrin, Talstar, Tetramethrin, which are more resistant to external influences and more toxic to insects and arachnids. The most used group of insecticides and acaricides, included in the flea spray in the apartment.
  3. Fipronil is a substance that is included in sprays for treating animal hair and for cleaning premises from fleas and other synanthropic insects. The substance affects the transmission of nerve impulses in the insect, which leads to paralysis and death of adults and larvae.
  4. Benzyl benzoate is a substance that contains flea spray for humans, as well as anti-pediculosis drugs and remedies for skin diseases. In high concentration, it effectively destroys crawling and flying pests in the home.
  5. Piperonyl butoxide is most often used in complex products, since its introduction helps to increase the effectiveness of the components according to the principle of synergy. When added to pyrethroids, piperonyl butoxide accelerates the onset of paralysis in fleas 4 times, facilitates the transport of insecticides through the cuticle, and enhances the effect of pyrethroids on the nervous system.
  6. For treating non-residential premises, it is recommended to use Diazinon, Dichlorvos, Karbofos, which are highly active, but also toxic and have an unpleasant odor.

Flea remedies

Interesting!

The first insecticide in an aerosol package was released by a German company. The drug did not reach the Soviet market, but the domestic chemical industry released its analogue, with the same formula under the trade name Dichlorvos. The remedy has become so firmly established in the lives of urban and rural residents that it began to be mentioned in folklore.

Modern Dichlorvos has nothing in common with the product that was used 50 years ago. The formula and smell of the spray have changed, but the popularity of the name “dichlorvos” forced it to be assigned to a modern insecticide.

Sprays and aerosols against fleas create a film on surfaces, which allows them to prolong their action and the fight is carried out by contact. The products used to treat apartments do not leave stains or streaks on furniture and textiles, do not spoil carpets and often have a pleasant smell that has an additional repellent effect - lavender, orange, cedar, etc.
