What is a wasp afraid of: how to scare away wasps on the street, what scares them away, what wasps don’t like

16.03.2017

The appearance of wasps or hornets on a summer cottage is not only an unpleasant and annoying fact, but also dangerous to the health (and sometimes life) of a person. You never know what careless sudden movement these insects will perceive as a signal of danger and a reason to attack. Therefore, if you know what repels wasps and hornets, you can avoid such a neighborhood fraught with consequences.

  • What attracts
  • What scares you away
  • The most effective means

Why is it necessary to fight wasps?

It is almost impossible to achieve a peaceful neighborhood and the conclusion of an “alliance” with insects such as wasps and bees. The final picture may look completely different, and arthropods can cause significant harm to both humans and the entire crop. If we consider the reasons why we should fight insects, their list is as follows:

What attracts?

Wasps have a real sweet tooth, so they often fly into the windows of houses where jam is being prepared. They love insects and fresh fruits (fruits, berries). They are especially attracted by the aromas of melons, watermelons, apricots, grapes, and apples.

Wasps also have other preferences:

  • honey and sugar syrup;
  • juices and fermented jam;
  • fermented drinks - kvass, beer;
  • yeast starter.

Both fish and meat attract these stinging insects. They are especially attracted by the smell of spoiled food.

- So tasty!…

Take care of your own safety

Security is the first thing to think about. Wasp stings can be truly dangerous, especially considering that the wasp does not lose its sting when bitten and can sting again and again. Those who have already fought with wasps on their own property recommend wearing as much clothing as possible that does not fit close to the body. Moreover, it is advisable to tuck its edges under a belt, gloves and boots. But it is best, in our opinion, to borrow a special protective suit from a beekeeper friend.

In addition to protective clothing, you will also need a reliable flashlight because... Often wasp nests are found in dark corners or unlit attics. Ideally, you need even, constant lighting, so it is better to mount the lantern on something static, such as a tree or wall.

If you are fighting ground wasps, prepare several buckets of earth with which you can fill the nest if you need to quickly retreat from the battlefield and you do not want a “train” in the form of a wasp swarm to follow you. Remember that these wasp nests have several entrances.

Take care of antihistamines and ice cubes that you can apply to the bite sites if they still cannot be avoided. A tourniquet will not be amiss. It is sometimes applied to prevent the absorption of wasp venom if a severe allergic reaction is observed.

Don’t forget about your loved ones, as well as your pets: while the nest is being destroyed, cover them in a place inaccessible to wasps

Never start wasp control alone. Every hero needs a “squire” and a faithful ally, because an allergic reaction to a wasp sting can cause dizziness, confusion, heart pain, a sharp decrease in blood pressure, suffocation as a result of swelling, etc.

Think about escape routes in case you fail to destroy the entire swarm right away.

If you are still not ready to call the experts, then the following information will also be useful to you.

Hatching rules

When a nest is discovered and it is established that it is located in close proximity to residential or domestic buildings, as well as simply places where people often visit, then its destruction is required.

Even if wasps do not show aggression, such a neighborhood can still be extremely dangerous, largely due to the unpredictability of the behavior of these insects when defending their shelter and their large number.

However, removing wasps is a complex and dangerous process, when performing it you must remember the following rules:

  1. It is strictly forbidden to use fire to remove wasps and destroy a nest if it is located on a tree, a wooden structure, or in close proximity to flammable materials.
  2. It is also undesirable to use gasoline or kerosene for removal in these places , even if it is not planned to be set on fire, since this will contribute to the creation of dangerous conditions.
  3. Provide protective clothing in advance , since if an attempt to destroy the nest is unsuccessful, its inhabitants will show the maximum degree of aggression.
  4. Before removing wasps, warn all neighbors and people living nearby about the planned event , so that they keep their windows closed at this time and try to refrain from going outside.
  5. Choose the most appropriate and safety compliant method for removing the wasp nest.

Defense - in attack

“Some breeds of wasps make their nests on tree branches, in stables, barns, attics and other rooms. They do this: they put some kind of scraper on a stick and, with its help, dump the nests into an open bag. When they have collected enough, the bag with nests is dipped into boiling water. This operation must also be carried out late in the evening.”

The century-old idea of first determining where the complaining neighbors are flying out from, and then destroying their houses is quite sound. It is also correct to schedule the operation for the evening: during the day, taking any action against nests of wasps and especially hornets is more expensive for yourself.

Modern method.

After sunset, treat the exit hole of the wasp nest (or “entry” if the house is located in a wall, woodshed or other enclosed space) with any anti-flying insecticide, possibly in a regular spray can. Spraying for 3-6 seconds is sufficient. Immediately after this, you need to tightly seal the entrance with construction foam you brought with you or pre-kneaded clay. After a day, you need to check whether the striped neighbors are using some other exit.

An article from the journal “Progressive Gardening and Horticulture” of 1910 was prepared by Vladimir Veselov, a historian.

Burning out the nest

Burning down the home of unwanted neighbors is one of the most effective methods of getting rid of them, if conditions allow you to put this method into practice.

However, before using such measures, it is necessary to take into account some features:

  1. The process itself is quite simple, since wasp nests are made of a special material that they extract by chewing tree bark, its structure is closest to cardboard. Therefore, it is enough just to pour gasoline or other flammable substance over their shelter and then set it on fire; complete burnout will occur in just a few seconds.
  2. Initially, you need to make sure that this method is safe. The walls and ceiling surface should not be made of wood, and it is also necessary to ensure that the cladding is made of fire-resistant material, so as not to accidentally start a fire.
  3. It is most advisable to resort to burning if the nest is located on a stone surface or if the earth variety of wasps is being fought.
  4. When using this method in industrial plants or logistics centers, it is necessary to make sure that there are no flammable substances or materials anywhere nearby.

Behavioral therapy

The simplest and most accessible method of psychotherapeutic treatment is widely used for many psychological disorders and phobias. After several sessions, an experienced specialist will help a person formulate the essence of the problem, identify the main etiological factors and determine standard models of behavior for a particular patient in a situation with bees.

Then the psychotherapist will try to build the most optimal line of defense, to create more perfect patterns. These are completely new behavioral models that will make it much easier to react to encounters with insects. By putting them into practice, patients will be able to maintain their sanity and behave correctly next time.

For optimal results, approximately 10 sessions of behavioral therapy are required. It must be combined with the desire of the person himself to work on himself, cope with the situation and emotions. The psychotherapist will be able to formulate behavioral models, but implementing them is the task of the patient himself.

This is the simplest and most accessible method that shows optimal effectiveness. In this case, the patient receives the support of a psychotherapist and the opportunity to fight his problem together with a specialist.

Pouring water

A safer method of destroying a nest is to use water rather than fire for this purpose. It is most convenient to use this method if the wasps have settled in the attic or settled in the ground.

There are two options for implementing this process:

  1. The first method is the simplest, but is only suitable for exterminating earth wasps. This requires quickly pouring a large amount of water into the hole that leads into their home. This is best done with a hose, since it has a sufficient flow rate for significant volumes of liquid; besides, buckets and other limited containers may not be suitable, since some underground burrows are quite deep. It is necessary to stop the water supply only at the moment when it begins to flow out through its edges. After this, the entrance to the nest is securely closed with some heavy object, for example, a stone. In some cases, after flooding a wasp shelter, these insects do not emerge completely, since a significant amount of water can be absorbed by the soil, which gives the insects the opportunity to dig a new exit.
  2. The second method is intended for nests that are located at a certain height, for example, at ceiling level; it is more complex, dangerous and requires sufficient skill. Its essence lies in the fact that the wasp's nest must be placed entirely in a bucket, previously filled with water, and then pressed tightly against the ceiling surface so that insects cannot in any way get out through the cracks. It is necessary to install a support from below that will support the container in this position, since it will take at least one day to destroy the wasps. There are several difficulties here: the instability of the structure being built and the risk of its destruction, as well as the difficulty of pressing the water container tightly to the ceiling. If one of the described situations arises, then all efforts will be in vain.

Preventing the appearance of insects in the country

There is a certain set of universal rules that will help you minimize insects visiting your site.
What are these rules? 1. Clear your area of excess debris and food debris that insects love so much. Store all remaining food only in the refrigerator, and if it is not available, in hermetically sealed food containers.

2. Minimize the area of places where dampness forms on your site and cover all containers with water: these are the places where mosquitoes like to breed.

3. Carry out wet cleaning of all premises as often as possible, first collecting all the crumbs and throwing them away along with the rest of the garbage in specially designated areas outside the site.

4. Protect your dacha from insects by installing mosquito nets for windows, and, if necessary, for doors.

5. Don't kill spiders: they destroy many insects.

6. Plant plants along the fence that repel pests.

When carrying out preventive measures to get rid of insects, the main thing is not to overdo it. After all, their presence in their natural habitat is intended by nature, and each of them is necessarily endowed with some useful function.

Insecticides

Unlike other insects, an attack by a wasp or hornet can cause the death of a person from Quincke's edema or anaphylactic shock. Therefore, in specialized stores, means for their destruction are presented in a wide range. Domestic and foreign manufacturers produce them in the form of aerosols, sprays, ready-made solutions, and powders for preparing dilutions. The most popular are Mosquitall, Delta Zone, Executioner, and Tetrix.

How to choose the best insecticide:

  • High-quality chemicals destroy wasps at any stage of development. They do an excellent job with the uterus, sexually mature workers, and faces. This distinguishes them from folk remedies, which often only repel insects.
  • If the wasp nest is compact, then you should buy insecticides with quick action. Sprays and ready-made solutions will do the job well. It is often not possible to accurately determine the location of the nest. In such cases, long-acting chemicals are effective. A poisoned but still living wasp will infect the entire population of the nest the next time it visits.
  • For the destruction of single wasps, sweet baits generously moistened with poisonous agents are ideal. The method is effective, but during the “hunt” it is better to remove small children, pets and birds from the room. The Msquitall aerosol against dangerous wasp nests has proven itself to be safe for human health.

    It is not advisable to treat a summer cottage during the flowering period. Not only wasps will die, but also beneficial insects (bees, butterflies, dragonflies) that feed on sweet flower pollen and nectar. The best ways to kill bees yourself

    "Karbofos"

    “Karbofos” not only destroys bees and wasps, but also repels them from the summer cottage and the premises they have chosen with its smell. It is highly undesirable to use it in residential premises due to its high toxicity. The composition of karbofos includes malathion, fillers and fragrances. It is produced in the form of powder in bags, a concentrated suspension in ampoules and a ready-made solution in five-liter containers.

    After entering the insect's body, malathion blocks the digestive system. The wasp loses the ability to fully feed and soon dies. But before that, she manages to transmit the poison to other inhabitants of the nest.

    Attention! The disadvantages of Karbofos include the gradual resistance (stability) of insects to the action of the poison. Soon, their bodies begin to produce enzymes that make the wasps immune to the insecticide.

    "Delta Zone"

    "Delta Zone" is intended for double treatment of utility rooms and garden plots against wasps at monthly intervals. The insecticidal effect is based on the poisonous properties of deltamethrin, a chemical substance that is highly safe. You can return to the room treated with this thick and viscous solution after 20–30 minutes.

    "Executioner"

    The insecticide quickly disappears, leaving no stains or suffocating odor behind. It is effective against almost all harmful insects, including blood-sucking ones. "Executioner" is produced in the form of a concentrated solution, the active ingredient of which is fenthion. After mixing, the dilution is placed in a spray bottle and the areas in the country where wasps are expected to swarm are carefully treated.

    "Tetrix"

    The active ingredient of the insecticide is metaphos, intended primarily for the destruction of crawling insects. In the fight against wasps, Tetrix is used exclusively for treating a previously discovered nest. Spraying the solution on it leads to massive death of wasps. The insecticide is sold in the form of a concentrate in glass or plastic containers.

    "Dichlorvos"

    This is a chemical from the group of organophosphorus compounds with a wide spectrum of action. The insecticide is relatively safe for humans, therefore it is actively used to kill wasps even in residential areas. “Dichlorvos” by dehydrochlorinating chlorophos, a substance that instantly paralyzes the insect. The drug has only one drawback - its sharp, repulsive smell lingers in the air for a long time.

    "Dichlorvos" must be stored out of the reach of children. Its bottle is similar to a regular air freshener, so if sprayed in a cramped room, there is a high probability of intoxication of the child.

    Preparations based on chlorpyrifos

    Many manufacturers produce insecticides with chlorpyrifos, since this chemical compound in minimal doses destroys huge nests and colonies of insects, including wasps. It is more stable compared to other organophosphorus compounds and exhibits a pronounced intestinal effect.

    How to get rid of it: proven methods

    An important point is the location of the wasp nest. If the ball is in a convenient place, it is not difficult to destroy pests, but, unfortunately, wasps often build a house at the top of the balcony or near it, at the junction with metal structures, for example, a window sill.

    You always need to think through an action plan to protect the owner and household members. If you doubt your abilities or are afraid of stinging insects, you will need the help of special services. In this case, the success of the treatment will be guaranteed and there will be no risk to the health of residents.

    On a note! It is advisable to carry out the destruction of pests in the evening, when the wasps gather in the nest. In this case, there is hope to get rid of all the wasps living on the balcony.

    Option one – the nest is located in a convenient location:

    purchase an insecticide against wasps, a regular aerosol Dichlorvos or a Mosquitoll brand product “From wasp nests” is suitable; protect your face, hands, eyes; take a large plastic bag, carefully approach the nest, wrap the hard ball in plastic; it is important to act quickly, but without sudden movements; a plastic bag needs to be tied around the wasp nest so that the polyethylene adheres well to the home of stinging insects; Carefully make a small hole in the bag, spray a powerful insecticide inside, close the hole with tape or put another bag on top; wait until the insects inside die. You need to carefully read the inscription on the can and find out how long the treatment lasts to kill the wasps. On average, a bag of sprayed insecticide should remain on the nest for 40 minutes to 1 hour; after the specified time, carefully separate the wasp nest from the surface

    You must wear thick gloves. Next, place the ball in another bag, take it to a landfill, and burn it; upon returning home, you need to clean the remains of the nest from the surface, eliminate all cracks, spray with natural ingredients to repel pests or insecticides to destroy random individuals, so that wasps do not settle on the balcony

    Option two – the wasp’s nest is located in an inconvenient place.

    Many owners make the mistake of trying to knock down a wasp house with a stick or mop, which can lead to an attack by angry insects, multiple bites, and serious health consequences. There are safer methods.

    Proven methods of dealing with wasps if the nest is difficult to reach:

    method number 1. For a glazed balcony, the treatment is easiest: you need to put on protective clothing, a respirator, close the door to the room, spray a powerful insecticide in all corners, walls and floors

    It is important to go through all the corners, wait the allotted time according to the instructions to destroy pests. After the interval after treatment, you need to carefully remove the nest, first cover the ball with a bag, take it to a landfill, and burn it.

    Effective drugs: Cucaracha, Karbofos, Dichlorvos, Mosquitoll, Executioner. The insecticidal effect lasts from two days to 14 days; method No. 2. Mix boric acid with fruit, sweet syrup, lemonade, boiled meat or fish. The smell of food attracts harmful insects, the poisonous bait gets not only into the stomach, but also remains on the paws, wasps infect their relatives. Boric acid affects the transmission of nerve impulses, causes paralysis, and the entire swarm gradually dies. A more active insecticidal effect is provided by concentrated poison of the brands Get, Clean House, Raid, Delta Zone and Lambda Zone. The method of application is indicated on the packaging for powerful insecticides. It is important that children and pets do not reach the containers.

    How to scare away wasps from the table: struggle with folk remedies

    Wasps are attracted to sour and sweet smells. Insects can fly to the table where fresh fruits and berries, honey, jam or lemonade are lying. Parasites enter living spaces through open windows and doors. It is recommended to fight wasps using folk remedies. Using various decoctions, you should wipe the frames and window sills, and also leave small pieces of cotton wool, after soaking them in the decoction.

    Using table vinegar, you can ward off wasps by wiping the window frames with it. You need to take 1 teaspoon of vinegar and dilute it in a glass of cold water. In order to achieve a rich aroma, cotton wool must be soaked in concentrated vinegar or poured into a saucer.

    You can permanently get rid of and drive away a wasp's nest with the help of essential oils. The product should be applied in a spot method to the window frames or soaked cotton wool should be left in the openings between the panes. The solution should also be sprayed on the outer sides of the walls and the area near the wasp nest. The smell of essential oil is pleasant for humans, so you can spray it all over your living space. The aroma of lavender, basil, geranium, mint and lemon balm is very unpleasant for wasps.

    Note! The main disadvantage of this method of fighting wasps is that the smell of ammonia is unpleasant to people. If a person inhales concentrated vapors, he will begin to feel sick and dizzy, and may feel a little nauseous.

    The smell of ammonia (ammonia) is also effective in repelling wasps. This substance has a rather persistent aroma, which insects can sense even at a distance of several meters, which does not allow them to approach the living space. In order to prepare the solution, you need 1 tbsp. Dilute a spoonful of alcohol in 1 liter of water. If you need to get rid of a wasp swarm that is trying to get into your home, you should soak cotton wool in alcohol and leave it on the windowsill.

    Smoke

    By observing changes in the behavior of flying insects after lighting a fire, you can find the answer to the question of whether wasps are afraid of smoke. When he appears, they disappear because they cannot stand his pungent smell.

    How is this used in practice? An outdated method is the fumigation of premises by lighting a portable stove. But today it is not used due to the risk of fire and the need to ventilate the building for a long time. In addition, the smell eats into wood, furniture and fabrics, so fumigation can only be used in brick non-residential buildings.

    But at a picnic or similar, lighting a fire will scare away the wasps, and you can rest in peace. The effect will be enhanced by adding spruce or pine needles and wood to the firewood: when burned, they release strong-smelling substances, the aroma of which wasps cannot tolerate.

    fly agaric

    This micro-forming lamellar fungus is extremely dangerous not only to wasps, but also to humans. Therefore, when preparing a poisonous agent, you should wear a respirator and gloves. Five medium-sized fly agaric mushrooms are cut into wide slices and mixed with 100 g of thick honey. Pour in a liter of water and simmer under the lid over low heat for an hour. Cool and grind with a pestle until smooth. Lay it out in small containers and place it in the corners of the summer cottage.

    Warning! Fly agaric baits are attractive not only to wasps and other garden pests, but also to beneficial insects.

    Machine oil

    Machine oil is also used when a wasp nest is found. A piece of rags or any other material is generously moistened with machine oil and inserted into the inlet hole. This must be done carefully, otherwise bites cannot be avoided. In a day, the insects will suffocate.

    Boiling water

    In this case, the wasps are not lured out of the nest with boiling water, but are immediately destroyed. They pour it over the top of the insects' home, having previously sealed the entrance hole with a cloth. Not the most effective, and far from safe method of removing pests from your site. Many of them can survive and then attack humans.

    Hot pepper

    If a person prefers humane methods of dealing with wasps, then red pepper will come to the rescue. Its pungent taste is not useful for repelling insects, but its pungent smell will come in handy. Humans practically do not notice it, but wasps are very sensitive to the faint, subtle aroma of pepper. They are unable to stay for a long time in a room where bundles of dry or fresh pods are laid out and hung.

    What smells do wasps not like and how to scare them?

    Which honey is better, linden or flower?

    Experts have found that wasps are repelled by strong and pungent odors, including the aroma of mint and wormwood. Some gardeners believe that these plants can be used to fight ticks and mosquitoes, but this is not always effective. If you dig around the perimeter of a country house with wormwood, this can reduce the number of insects, but dangerous wasps and hungry mosquitoes will still penetrate the home and harm people. You can repel wasps using the following strong chemical odors:

    • ethyl alcohol;
    • gasoline;
    • kerosene.

    Important! If the fumes of the above substances are constantly present and smelled near a person, this can lead to headaches, intoxication of the body and dizziness.

    The use of various fumigators against wasps and bees is ineffective. This repellent method will be especially useless in the fight against wasps - if the insects have built a nest and laid larvae there, nothing can block its path to the house.

    The odors of components that are included in preparations such as professional insecticides also effectively repel arthropods. Such products are not only unpleasant, but also dangerous for bees and wasps, so they do not risk appearing in places where preventive disinfestation is carried out. Like any other animal, the wasp has strong instincts of self-preservation. It is for this reason that if there is a vegetable garden, garden or flowering field near the house, it is recommended to regularly carry out preventive treatment against insects.

    Wasp control

    Traps

    Another good way to combat wasps is to use traps; their fundamental difference from the previous method is that the bait does not have to be poisoned.

    You can purchase such a device in a store or construct it yourself if you follow the instructions below:

    1. To make it you will need a large plastic bottle, the recommended volume is 1.5-2 liters.
    2. It is necessary to twist the roof of the container and cut off its upper part by a third with a knife.
    3. Bait is poured inside, this again can be beer with sugar or fermented jam.
    4. The cut off upper third of the bottle is inserted into the lower part; this must be done with the neck down.
    5. The container with the bait is suspended from a tree; in the future, it only needs to be updated once every few days, since wasps caught inside, due to a number of their instincts, will not be able to find their way out into the wild.

    Natural flavors

    Most natural odors only have a deterrent effect. The use of fragrant plants and products does not destroy pests, but many aromas can become an obstacle to the path of fleas into the apartment. Brooms made from fragrant herbs, fumigators with essential oils, concentrated infusions and decoctions of strongly odorous plants are a pleasant and harmless way to combat parasites.

    Tar

    Tar soap has gained considerable popularity. This is an effective flea remedy. It is dissolved in water and used to wash animals and floors. Tar destroys adult fleas and their larvae.

    Essential oil

    Essential oils from the following plants have a strong repellent effect:

    • Carnation.
    • Mint.
    • Aloe.
    • Thyme.
    • Walnut.
    • Eucalyptus.
    • Geranium.
    • Camphor.
    • Lavender.
    • Anise.

    It is enough to dilute a few drops with water and wipe all surfaces in the room, including hard-to-reach places. For preventive purposes, treatment should be repeated. The concentrate has an enhanced and effective effect. Pleases with a pleasant aroma.

    Poisoned baits

    You can also use poisoned baits to exterminate wasps; when using them, you will have to wait longer for the results, but this option is the safest in all aspects, and also does not require any skill for successful implementation.

    To poison insects, you must adhere to the following instructions:

    1. As bait, it is best to use beer, to which additional sugar is added, or fermented jam , which has an aroma attractive to wasps. It is not recommended to use honey, since bees that do not pose a threat to humans will also react to it.
    2. Add any toxic substance to the bait ; it can be one of the types of insecticides or just boric acid.
    3. The bait and the poisonous substance must be mixed well with each other, then placed on a plate and placed on an accessible and open surface. It is best to choose a place somewhere in the trees or where children or pets cannot reach the poisoned bait.
    4. Renew the poisoned bait every few days ; this must be repeated until the insects finally disappear from the area where they were planned to be hatched.

    Spiders

    These insects do not wait for spring and exist quietly in our houses and apartments all year round. Use a few methods and you won't have to remove cobwebs from corners as often.

    Mint

    Mix a few drops of peppermint essential oil, a little detergent and plain water. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and spray all corners where cobwebs often appear.

    Coconut oil and vinegar

    A mixture of coconut oil and white vinegar is also great for keeping spiders away, but before you spray your home with this mixture, test it on a small area of carpet, curtains and wallpaper - the oil may leave a residue.

    Citrus essential oils

    Spiders dislike citrus oils—lemon, orange, and lime—as much as they dislike mint. Of course, this won't kill them, but it will make them avoid places that smell of citrus. Just buy natural essential oils (you can find them at the pharmacy), and not fragrant fakes.

    Repellers

    What else can you do to repel wasps? Reference products will help you get rid of uninvited guests at your dacha. Buy in store:

  • insecticidal lamps;
  • ultrasonic repellers;
  • devices that generate electromagnetic waves.
  • These repellers are designed to get rid of wasp colonies located in hard-to-reach places. They imitate another nest, and it is taboo for wasps to violate someone else’s territory.

    Ultrasound

    Immediately after receiving a positive answer to the question of whether wasps are afraid of ultrasound, various companies began producing ultrasonic repellers. They can be used both in the house and in the garden. Ultrasonic waves are safe for humans, while wasps will not risk approaching their source.

    But there is also a downside: ultrasound will also drive away beneficial insects. Some scientists believe that small animals, including cats and dogs, also experience discomfort from it.

    Operating principle and main varieties

    An ultrasonic rodent and insect repeller is a fairly simple device consisting of a sound wave generator and a control board.
    All elements can be placed in housings of different shapes: rectangular, square and cylindrical. The basis for the functioning of such technology is the production of ultrasound of a certain frequency range, which has an effect on small rodents of various species and insects. Watch the video and see how the device works:

    At the same time, pests can feel considerable discomfort, which is precisely the factor that forces them to leave their favorite places.

    The device is available in several versions:

    • Battery operated;
    • From battery;
    • From a car cigarette lighter;
    • From the network;
    • Combined versions that combine the ability to connect the device in two ways.

    An ultrasonic repeller of small rodents and insects, operating on mains power, can only be used in an electrified facility, while battery-powered versions are used almost everywhere, as they are portable.

    If the socket is not available

    Sometimes the independent destruction of unwanted neighbors is complicated by the fact that the wasp's nest may be located in an extremely inconvenient place and be inaccessible.

    In such cases, it is recommended to adhere to the following tips:

    1. Follow the route of wasps; for example, they can crawl in large numbers under wall cladding or slate on the roof. Then it is necessary to treat the surface around their loophole with toxic substances, if possible pour as much of the drug inside as possible, usually the effect of such an event is the same as when baiting the nest itself.
    2. Earthen nests also belong to the class of hard-to-reach shelters; they can be burned, watered, or poisonous drugs poured inside. At the same time, it is strictly forbidden to excavate underground dwellings, since this can be an extremely dangerous idea.
    3. Place the poisoned bait in the immediate vicinity of the place through which the wasps pass to get into their nest.
    4. Some people remove wasps from the most difficult to reach places using a regular vacuum cleaner. But it is worth noting that this technique is the most dangerous, moreover, in most cases it gives only temporary results, but it also takes a certain amount of time.
