It is unlikely that anyone will be happy when ants appear in the garden, vegetable garden or house. Despite their ability to work and their usefulness, such a neighborhood cannot be called pleasant. Insects can spoil food or get into the trash can, as a result of which the spread of dangerous infections is inevitable. Description and features of the drug
Red ants settle in houses and apartments. Several families can settle in a room at the same time, forming large metropolitan colonies. They feed on food waste. Nests are hidden in the depths of crevices in the floors and walls. On terraces they settle in the foundation, under the porch.
Ground ants, garden ants, and leaf cutters are found in garden plots. Their excessive spread causes damage to the crop, primarily to young seedlings. Insects gnaw leaves of flowers and vegetables, causing trouble for gardeners.
For houses made of timber and logs, the wood ant is a danger. The cunning of insects is that they make nests deep in the wood, destroying it. In addition to destroying the nest itself, it is sometimes necessary to replace part of the wooden structure.
Important! Delicia ant powder is a highly effective, long-acting preparation. Within two weeks, the entire insect nest is destroyed.
Ant repellent “Delicia” is a finely granulated powder, yellowish or purple in color. Works as a poisonous bait for worker ants. Upon contact with it (in powdered, diluted form), the insect becomes infected, but does not die immediately. The poisonous substance remains on the paws. It enters the nest through the worker ant and destroys the population inside. First the individual is paralyzed, then it dies from asphyxia.
Note! During the period of swarming (reproduction) near the house, winged ants appear on the site. These insects are capable of fertilization. They are the ones who form the future nest. To combat them, use Delica aerosol, produced in Germany (Frunol Delicia). The drug is used to treat jambs of doors, windows, and vents. An infected individual, even if it gets inside the room, will die.

Mode of application
Ant repellent can be used in two ways. According to gardeners, when first treating an area, you need to use a powder, and only after that a solution. So, the ant killer can be used in the following ways.
Method one - powder
Treat the ant habitats with the following product, without any additives or impurities:
- nests;
- trails;
- entrances;
- cracks and cracks.
Gardeners recommend strewing the distance between the beds. In this way, the poison for ants will protect flowers, in particular peonies, from being eaten by insects, not only ants, but berries and vegetables cannot be processed using this method. - Pests often settle in greenhouses and gardens. To destroy ants, continuous paths are sprinkled along the rows, along the perimeter of the bed or plot of land. You can make a small depression around the plant and sprinkle the powder there.
It is also practiced to prepare a solution from Delicia powder for watering an anthill. Remove the top layer and fill it with water and poison.
How to use it correctly
Cavities with a high level of humidity, sheltered from human eyes, are the optimal environment for creating a nest for an ant colony.
Note! When carrying out measures to destroy a colony, it is necessary to thoroughly treat the cracks leading into the hidden cavities of the walls and floors. If possible, temporarily dismantle the baseboard (there is a deformation gap behind it). The nest can be located in a ventilation duct, in crevices, or cavities behind ceramic tiles.
Worker ants walk along marked paths that lead directly to the nest. They need to be recorded.
There are two ways to treat surfaces.
Dry
The previously noted places of movement of insects, the paths leading to the nest, are sprinkled with dry powder in the proportion of grams per square meter. Processing time is on average two weeks. The disappearance of the ants will signal the end of the fight.
As a solution
The powder is diluted with water. The proportion is indicated in the instructions. The optimal time for surface treatment is morning or evening. This is due to the fact that insects hide in their nests during these hours.
The solution is generously sprayed onto the surface on which ants move, crevices, and all cracks. Additionally, traps are installed. An insecticide solution is poured into a dish with a low side. Installed near paths made by insects.
Precautionary measures
Chloropyrifos (ODV) is non-toxic to people and pets in moderate doses.
But increased concentration causes the following consequences:
- cardiac dysfunction;
- intoxication;
- disorders associated with liver function;

The drug should be used with extreme caution during pregnancy, and it is better to avoid contact with the substance altogether.

- A respirator and rubber gloves are required;
- you cannot eat, drink or smoke during treatment;
- access to the treated area should be limited to pets;
- children and pregnant women should not be present in the treated area;
- when used in the garden, it is not recommended to treat the lawn with the product or use Delicia powder near a body of water;
- At the end of the procedure, washing your hands with soap is mandatory.

The main advantages of Delicia powder are the complete extermination of ant colonies and prolonged action after treatment. If the recommended use is followed, it does not pose a threat to humans.
