Nyuda spray (50ml complete with comb and spray nozzle)

Nyuda is a drug for lice, which, in fact, can be classified as a new generation of modern antiparasitic drugs. Its difference from standard pediculicides is that it does not contain aggressive chemical components. This largely explains the growing popularity of the Nyuda lice remedy among the general population.

Description of the product

The popularity of the drug is due, first of all, to the fact that Nyuda spray does not contain any aggressive chemicals that entail a lot of side effects and health hazards. The ingredients of the product include:

  • wax;
  • fragrances;
  • triglycerides;
  • biphasic dimethicone (not less than 92%);

Dimethicone is not toxic to humans or lice. Essentially, it is silicone, often included in cosmetics for shaving and hair, sunscreens, and also for the treatment of certain intestinal diseases.

As part of the Nuda spray, dimethicone kills parasites not chemically (i.e., not poisonously), but physically: this oily substance envelops the body of the louse, literally clogging the spiracles through which air penetrates inside. Thus, the access of oxygen to the respiratory tract of the insect is blocked and it dies, suffocating. The effect of the substance on nits is to clog the exit hole, as a result of which the larva will not be able to hatch.

Two-phase dimethicone is conventionally divided into liquid and viscous. In this regard, its effect on parasites occurs in 2 phases:

  1. flowing liquid dimethicone “paves the way” for the viscous one, first flowing into the spiracles, and then into the tracheoles and trachea of the parasite, displacing air from the respiratory tract;
  2. Viscous dimethicone is delivered along the “paved path” to the respiratory system of the insect, completing the process by sealing all respiratory tracts.

Dimethicone is absolutely harmless to hair, its effect is recognized not only as gentle, but also to some extent therapeutic: the scalp softens, itching from bites disappears, and after it the hair becomes easy to comb, soft, and shiny. When using Nuda for long hair (including curly hair), there is no need to cut it off thanks to the same Dimethicone, which prevents tangling.

The kit includes a comb for combing out lice and nits. The shelf life of the drug is 4 years at a temperature not exceeding 25 C.

Description and composition

Nyuda anti-lice spray is a new generation product.
Its difference from other anti-pediculosis drugs is that it does not contain aggressive active chemicals and can be used without risk at any age.

You can purchase this drug for head lice at any pharmacy. The average cost is 300–500 rubles.

It is a 50 ml bottle with a viscous yellow oily substance, which is applied by spraying. Has a specific smell.

“Nuda” consists of 90% of a substance such as dimethicone. It is not poisonous and in its composition and principle of action is close to silicone.

REFERENCE! Dimethicone absorbs parasites, cutting off their access to oxygen, and penetrates their respiratory tract. As a result, the parasites die from ordinary suffocation.

“Nuda” also contains other substances: jojoba wax and fragrances. They enhance the effectiveness of the main component and have a positive effect on the quality of the hair, making it softer and more well-groomed.

Pros and cons of Nuda spray

Among the advantages of the drug, everyone who used it noted its high efficiency, the ability to get rid of lice, sometimes even in one go. But here one point needs to be clarified: the product works flawlessly on adult insects and larvae, killing them outright. However, some nits can miraculously survive and subsequently give rise to the next generation of parasites.

In this case, the same dimethicone comes into force, facilitating combing and allowing you to easily remove bloodsuckers and nits from the hair with a special comb included in the kit. It is the quality of combing that will determine whether a second treatment will be needed (that is, whether all nits will be removed). If done well, there is a high chance of completely destroying the parasites in one go.

There are also disadvantages of the drug, but they can be challenged:

  • the oily product is difficult to wash off from the hair, only the second or third time (but thanks to this particular composition, it is easily applied and distributed evenly throughout the hair);
  • not the best quality comb (but nothing prevents you from using another, more convenient one);
  • tart anise aroma (not everyone likes it, but it is quite tolerable, and in any case, than after using dust, kerosene and other strong-smelling lice products);
  • itching and burning during the procedure (possibly, but not for everyone).

In the end, not a single completely flawless remedy has yet been invented; each one has its own advantages and disadvantages. And if the disadvantages are not so serious as to refuse to use the drug, then is it worth talking about them?

Efficacy and course of treatment

"Nyuda" is a modern medicine that effectively destroys lice and nits without active aggressive chemicals. It kills all types of lice: head lice, pubic lice and body lice. This drug receives mostly positive reviews on various sites, with the majority of those who used it noting that lice and nits were eliminated after the first use, and the quality of their hair also improved.

If desired, you can supplement the treatment of pediculosis with “Nyuda” with the use of folk remedies and anti-pediculosis shampoos in order to achieve maximum effect in the fight against parasites.

As a preventive measure, you can add 6-8 drops of tea tree essential oil to your regular shampoo, the smell of which repels lice.

It is not advisable to combine Nuda treatment with treatment with other chemical drugs, especially those containing active chemical components. It is also better to use separately such folk remedies for lice as gasoline, kerosene, dichlorvos, hairspray, dust and tar soap.

And opt for more gentle means: vinegar, essential oils, including tea tree oil, hellebore water, diluted cranberry juice, vegetable oil, etc.

Nyuda anti-lice spray does not need to be used regularly. This is a single use drug. You only need to apply it once for 45 minutes according to the instructions. As a preventive measure, you can repeat the procedure a week after the first treatment.

Also on our website there is a lot of useful information about such drugs that fight lice as: sprays for lice and nits - Paranit, Pediculen Ultra, Para Plus, as well as anti-pediculosis ointments: Benzyl benzoate (ointment, emulsion) and Sulfur.

Instructions for use

Before applying the spray, the hair should be washed with shampoo and dried naturally, without a hair dryer. Next - step by step:

  1. comb hair;
  2. distribute the spray evenly along the entire length;
  3. rub the drug into the scalp;
  4. stand for 45 minutes (without covering your head with a towel or cap!);
  5. comb out dead insects and nits (thanks to dimethicone, this is easy to do);
  6. rinse the product from your hair 2-3 times.

After a week - 10 days, repeat the event (if the nits survive and a new generation of lice hatches).

Contraindications

The use of Nyuda spray is not recommended in the following cases:

  • individual intolerance to the drug;
  • period of pregnancy and lactation;
  • age up to 3 years;
  • skin diseases;
  • with caution in case of allergic reactions to drugs.

What to do after use?

"Nyuda" is an effective product that destroys lice and nits after the first use.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW! Nits are more resistant to external influences than adult lice, as they have a strong protective shell.

While using Nyuda, some nits may remain alive, so for prevention purposes, you should repeat the hair treatment with this drug after a week.

Precautionary measures

In order not to harm yourself, you need to follow safety precautions in everything. The same applies to the drug Nyuda. Despite the fact that the spray is recognized as safe, it is still important to observe certain conditions when using it:

  • Before starting use, carry out an allergy test (apply a little product to a delicate area of the skin and monitor the reaction for half an hour);
  • apply only externally (in case of accidental contact with eyes or mucous membranes, rinse with plenty of water);
  • to avoid getting the drug into the eyes, nose and mouth, apply a bandage (tourniquet) along the border of the scalp;
  • during treatment, do not eat or drink, do not smoke;
  • Do not process near open flames or heating objects (the product is highly flammable);
  • Do not store the spray near food or among medications;
  • If you accidentally spill the product on the floor, wash everything well (the product is oily, you can slip).

Victoria: I didn’t think that I would have to face such a problem as an adult.
During the treatment of lymphadenitis, physiotherapy was prescribed. I came to the first procedure without a towel and a replacement pillowcase, and that’s where the insects seemed to find me. At first I attributed the itching to dandruff, but when I discovered a nit on the comb, everything became clear. Attempts to treat the problem with folk remedies (vinegar) only made it worse. That’s when, when visiting the pharmacy, the choice fell on an expensive, but safe remedy. The drug, of course, has a rather unpleasant odor, but it is tolerable, however, it solved the problem after one treatment, without damaging the hair. Valeria, Moscow: The lice were brought into the house by the eldest daughter, who returned from a children's camp. I always thought that such a disease was reserved for representatives of the social bottom, but in reality everything turned out to be somewhat different. The situation was further aggravated by the fact that there was an infant in the house, and several parasites were also found on his head. In this regard, it was decided to look for the safest option, regardless of cost. A pediatrician I know recommended the drug Nuda. This really turned out to be a good remedy that quickly solved the problem, and at the same time did not damage the hair of either me or my eldest daughter. This antiparasitic agent has the only drawback - it is clearly not cheap. The smell, of course, is specific, but you can tolerate it, and it can be much worse.

Elena: Our story is quite typical. The child went to a new kindergarten, and after a couple of days he began to itch. The pharmacy recommended nuda as an effective and safe antiparasitic agent. During the application process, I was pleased with the very convenient option for applying the drug - the spray is much easier to use than ointments and emulsions. In our case, however, one treatment was not enough; we had to apply the drug twice. It also turns out that the included comb is practically unsuitable for use on thick and long hair. The smell of this antiparasitic drug is of course unique, but I have also come across much more “fragrant” medicines.

Analogs

The choice of anti-pediculosis drugs is now quite wide, but one should not thoughtlessly choose a drug based on the “price” principle. Only competent advice from a doctor can protect you as much as possible from possible side effects and causing even more harm instead of the expected benefit.

Among other lice remedies, the following may be prescribed:

  • Spray or lotion from the Paranit series. Also an oily product (based on natural Isopar oil), and also gentle on hair and skin. Age of use: from 3 years. There is a significant difference in keeping the product on the hair: only 15 minutes instead of 45.

  • Para Plus is an oil spray that often comes to the rescue if the previous remedies (hebore water or others) did not help, thanks to the insecticides in the composition (malathion, permethrin, piperonyl butoxide). Holding time – 10 minutes. Suitable from 2.5 years. Instructions for use are the same as for Nyuda, but the exposure time is 10 minutes.

  • Spray Pediculen with 6% anise oil in the composition. The smell is also quite pungent, but it is thanks to the anise that the product is safe even for a child’s scalp. The principle of operation of Pediculen and Nyuda is similar.

  • Nittifor is a drug in the form of a cream or lotion containing permethrin. Side effects are very rare, but should not be used during pregnancy or in infants. Allergic reactions are possible.

  • Foxylon lotion 20% with benzyl benzoate, effective against pubic and head lice. Apply in the same way as Nuda, leave for 10 minutes. It is advisable to rinse off with a vinegar solution. Use from 5 years of age. Contraindications: pregnancy. There are no side effects, but an allergic reaction is possible (if you are allergic to medications).

Cheap analogues of the same name

Nuda spray is an expensive anti-lice remedy. It costs in the range from 350 to 600 rubles, depending on the region. You can also get the drug for a much lower price, but in this case no one will guarantee quality and, most importantly, authenticity. Accordingly, you shouldn’t expect the result promised in the instructions or advertising either, because the purchased pseudo-Nuda may turn out to be an ordinary fake, of which there are now all sorts of them.

Thus, for reliability and guaranteed results promised by the manufacturer (German company G. Pohl-Boskamp), the drug should be purchased in pharmacies or on specialized websites (or online stores) that deal with pest control professionally. Buying a product from third-party distributors of all kinds of goods or in village stores is knowingly exposing yourself to the risk of complications and side effects instead of the expected result.

Price and availability of the drug

Nyuda lice remedy is produced in Germany, but it is easy to buy throughout the CIS. The drug is sold exclusively in pharmacies, mainly large and modern ones. Small retail outlets do not always buy it because the price is quite high.

The price for Nyuda ranges from 300 to 350 rubles in Russia, and residents of Ukraine will have to pay more: from 200 to 250 hryvnia. The product can also be ordered from online pharmacies or stores.

Review

“Anti-lice is just a thing! I am a teacher in a kindergarten, so I contracted lice from my children. This drug literally got rid of my problem in one go, and also healed my hair. I don’t know how, but they began to look much better and shone. Read the reviews on Nyuda, everyone praises them, I looked for them before purchasing. Now I advise parents who are faced with the same problem with their kids. It helps against lice perfectly, but one thing confused me: the price for Nyuda is a bit high. If it were not for such an exorbitant cost, it would be possible to purchase for the entire kindergarten, because lice periodically makes itself felt when working with children. But who will give us so much money?”

Oksana, Mariupol

Overall, Nyuda is a truly convenient modern lice remedy that allows you to quickly forget about the problem of lice. To achieve the best result, it is enough to follow the instructions and, most importantly, buy only the original drug, and not analogues of dubious quality.
